Denim on Denim

The ever-growing, altering aspects of fashion is a beautiful thing. Let's all think of ourselves ten years ago, and imagine ourselves wearing denim on denim. Did you just gasp, like I did? It was absolutely unthinkable, but now? A major DO! 

The winds of change float in often, and we begin to love things that were otherwise atrocious. Teaches us a few things about welcoming change, eh?

Floral & Denim

Denim, denim, denim. In all forms, colors and prints. I am obsessed. Always have been. I continue to hoard denim from years past, afraid of the withdrawals I'll experience if I part with them. Surely I'll need all sizes, styles and washes in the future. Right?

Enter the chambray shirt...and life is complete.

Polka Dots & Pleats

Often I find myself saving my skirts for Sundays and special occasions, and the sight of numerous skirts in my closet makes me feel guilty. They should be worn often! 

One purpose of this blog is to really utilize our wardrobes; dig deep into the contents of our closets. If I would just reach for a skirt rather than a pair of jeans during the week, I'd end up with fun outfits such as this one more often; a completely doable weekday ensemble!

I'm also loving the knotted top with a maxi skirt. It really helps eliminate the bulky problem I often encounter when I tuck in my top, plus it adds structure to what could potentially be boxy. Bonus!
